- The Read Steve Ross wants Flagler Drive. The opposition is loud. The setup: Developer Stephen Ross and Mayor Keith James spent recent weeks crafting a plan to close parts of Flagler Drive and turn the waterfront into a public park — a kind of West Palm "Central Park" pitched at a meeting that E.R. Bradley's owners attended and have since publicly fought.
- Development Nora District lands another $5.3 million from city Backstory: West Palm approved an additional $5.3 million for the Related Ross-led Nora District as its 201-room Nora Hotel approaches completion. SWEAT440 and The Spot Barbershop are among new tenants announced for the entertainment district, with the first office leases also signed.
- Development Cox Science Center begins $150 million expansion Zoom in: The Dreher Park institution will triple in size and nearly double its footprint. Of the $150 million, more than $134 million has been raised. New CEO Kurt Allen takes over as construction begins; doors stay open through the build, with reopening targeted for Christmas 2027.
